OLC’s Dessert for Dreams Event
The 10th Annual Ladies Dessert for Dreams Charity at the Oregon Logging Conference (OLC) was a great success. The event raised $4,200 for the Bethel Education Foundation (BEF).
First Lady Lynda Hardwick welcomed over 70 ladies to the function on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at the Eugene Hotel. The event included a light lunch and delicious dessert from the many bakeries in the Eugene, Ore., area.
One hundred percent of the tickets for this event, as well as personal donations and raffle ticket sales, totaled over $4,200. Thanks go out to the OLC, event volunteers, as well as the Oregon Electric Station
and the Eugene Hilton.
As a teacher, education is very important to Lynda, and is why selected the Bethel School Education Foundation. The BEF is an independent 501(c)3 non-profit corporation and was organized August 2009 to support Bethel schools. The foundation is accepting donations to promote the academic achievement of all Bethel students in the Eugene, Ore.
