In the market for a logging truck? Make sure to attend the Oregon Logging Conference, held Feb. 23-25, 2012, in Eugene, Ore., where there will be plenty on display.
One of the trucks you’ll see up close is the Colorado Severe Duty (SD), the latest and greatest “in the dirt” Freightliner. It features new technology mixed with proven components, like Cummins and Detroit power.
Mike Edmonds, of Valley Freightliner invites you come check it out. “The redesigned duel air intake comes standard through chromed steel grilles on the sides of the hood. And air flows through a vortex pre-cleaner filtration system into the hood plenum and then into a single air filter mounted atop the engine. This system provides cleaner air and longer life, which saves money and maintenance.”
The cab doors are made of steel reinforced aluminum and have been tested to meet and/or exceed the rigorous European crash and roll-over standards, keeping drivers safer.
