Don’t forget to mark your calendar for Oregon Women in Timber’s (OWIT) 24th annual auction and dinner, Wednesday February 18.
OWIT will be joining forces with the Oregon Logging Conference’s Meet and Greet festivities to help kick off OLC’s 77th Anniversary event.
The doors open at 4:00 p.m. at the Eugene Hilton Hotel and Conference Center. Dinner tickets include a hearty buffet and hosted beer and wine. Proceeds from the auction will raise money to support the forest classroom educational program, Talk About Trees, which has now reached over 2.5 Million students.
There is something for everyone at the silent and live auctions. Items being auctioned off will include such things as: a week rental of a log loader, donated by Pape’; a custom made fire pit donated by Boman Industries; Phantom of the Opera Theater package with one night Marriott stay and dinner certificate, donated by Geoff Stathos with United Risk Solutions, Inc.; tickets to the Bi-Mart Willamette Country Music Festival, donated by Bi-Mart; and two courtside Trail Blazer tickets, donated by Joel Olson Trucking.
OWIT wants to thank the Northwest Ford Dealers Advertising Association. They will be donating $5,000 again this year! FORD has been a consistent sponsor since 2001.
Talk About Trees
OWIT is also partnering with OLC Foundation to raise money for both the OLC Foundation Scholarship Fund and the Talk About Trees program by selling commemorative lapel pins for $100.
The sale of each pin gives the buyer an opportunity to support future generations while also getting a chance to win a $1000 VISA gift card. The winning ticket will be drawn Friday, February 20th at the Eugene Hilton Hotel during the OLC 77th Anniversary Celebration Party.
