Scholarship Recipients selected for the

2022-2023 College Year.

Twenty college students will receive a total of $42,000 in financial assistance for their education from the Oregon Logging Conference Foundation (OLCF).   This year the scholarship funds were awarded to both 2 year colleges and 4 year universities.  The OLC Foundation plans to financial help individuals who are taking industry trade courses, such as welding, diesel mechanics, etc.

              SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Oregon Logging Conference Foundation (OLCF) scholarship program is offered to students who are studying in forestry related areas.  OLC Foundation will accept applications starting in January of each year. The applications must be received in the OLC Foundation office no later than  April 15th of the same year.

The OLC Foundation awards 15 to 20 scholarships annually; scholarships ranges from $1000 to $3,500 each. The scholarship is available to help supplement costs of tuition and books. The scholarship will be sent directly to the recipient’s school and deposited into the student’s account. If a recipient does not attend college for the year scholarship is awarded the total amount of the scholarship will be returned to the Oregon Logging Conference Foundation.

The applications are reviewed by a committee of 6 to 8 of the OLCF board of directors. the final selection of recipients will be made at the OLC Foundation Spring meeting (May or June). Recipients will be notified by email after that date.

The following guidelines must be met in order to apply for the OLCF scholarship:

Applicants must be studying in the following areas:

Forest Engineering
Forest Management
Forest Operations Management
Heavy Equipment Maintenance and Welding
Resource Management
Diesel Mechanics
Other forest /timber industry related areas of study

The applications must be received in the Oregon Logging Conference Foundation office no later than April 15st.
