If you’re looking for something fun, educational and FREE to do with your children, check out Family Day at the Oregon Logging Conference.

The fun starts Saturday, February, 25, at 9 am. and continues until 2 pm in the Wheeler Pavilion at the Lane County Fairgrounds.

All exhibits are free and open to the public, such as:
• Educational activities such as paper-making and simulated firefighting
• Wildlife exhibits and birdhouse construction
• Millions of dollars in logging equipment to explore.

Special Exhibit: Talk About Trees
Your kids won’t want to miss the Talk About Trees Exhibit, sponsored by the Oregon Women in Timber, is a free, hands-on forest education program that presents science-based curriculum to kindergarten through eighth grade classes. Talk About Trees teaches children about:

  • Tree identification
  • Photosynthesis
  • Definition of resources
  • Renewability
  • Structure of trees
  • Conservation
  • Forest management.
