The upcoming Oregon Logging Conference, held February 19-21, 2015, will be packed with timely panels and seminars.
This year the OLC will be offering a forest residuals seminar, which will include three dynamic panel members:
• Don Clay, of R D Olson Mfg.,, located in Kelso, Wash., who will present Cleanup of Log Yard Waste,
• Dr. Nik Yadama, PhD., Assist. Professor and Extension Specialist Materials and Engineering Center, Dept of Civil & Environmental Engineering, Washington State University, who will talk on biomass collection across the Pacific Northwest, and
• Bill Carlson, of Carlson Small Power Consultant, located in Redding, Calif., who will talk on the status and update of turning forests residuals into energy.
This panel will touch on everything from log yards to jet fuel, and attendees will earn two professional logging credits.
