Having fun at the OLC

Having fun at the OLC

Here are a few facts you may not know about the Oregon Logging Conference:

1.  The OLC began in 1939. It was focused (as it is today) on assisting forestry professionals in their pursuit of professional development.

2. The OLC has donated more than $275,000 to public education programs.

3. The OLC  supports the Oregon Women in Timber’s free educational program, Talk About Trees. The program presents science-based curriculum to kindergarten through sixth grade classes.

4. The OLC established scholarships in 1968. Each year scholarship awards go to qualified students majoring in forestry-related fields. To-date they have provided more than $450,000 to deserving students.
