In a recently announced $20-million agreement between the U.S. Forest Service and American Forests, the proposal will reforest millions of acres of burned and degraded areas over the next five years.
Chief Moore said, “Reforestation is an important investment for the future and resiliency of forests across the country. This agreement with American Forests will help the agency reduce the backlog of reforestation needs to support disaster and wildfire recovery, identify future reforestation needs, and improve our ability to monitor the impact and outcomes of this important work,” he added.
The 86th Annual Oregon Logging Conference will take place February 22 – 24, 2024 and in addition to keynote speaker Chief Moore, includes current topic seminars and panel discussions and many social activities. Visit the event calendar and schedule page for more information.
