Oregon Logging Conference attendees are in for a treat. This year’s keynote speaker is talk show host Lars Larson. He will be kicking off the OLC Thursday, February 20, at 8:30 a.m., at the Wheeler Pavilion.
For those not familiar with his show, Lars hosts an honest, provocative talk to the entire country, skewering big government and deflating deadbeat politicians. From the left coast to our nation’s capital, no subject is off the table.
Lars got his start in radio at age 16 spinning records — remember 45s — and reading news, sports and weather twice an hour on KTIL, from a little cinderblock building on the edge of a cow pasture in Tillamook, Ore.
Thirty-seven years later, he has only moved 75 miles east to Portland and light years to “the Right.” Emmy and Peabody award winner Lars Larson brings nearly four decades of experience as a radio and television journalist to the microphone for six hours of the best conversation in talk journalism.
