Last week the Oregon Logging Conference held its third annual Log Loader Competition, where operators stacked and balance logs in different configurations for the best time. This year’s champion was Layne Walker with an incredible time of 3:37. Layne can walk proud Surco Log Inc. in Springfield, Ore.
Second place, with a time of 4:44, went to Aaron Bunt of Lone Rock Timber, headquartered out of Roseburg, Ore. And, Aaron was closely followed by Sven Olsson of Van Wells Timber Co., who placed third with a time of 4:47.
The event, like years past, was sponsored by Triad Machinery and Link-Belt.
OLC is already planning the next log loader competition for all those operators out there who think they’ve got what it take.
