Clay Target Fundraiser for Oregon Logging Conference Foundation Scholarships

24 teams and many generous sponsors helped raise more than $65,000 this year at the 7th annual fundraiser, which was held on September 12th at Creswell Clay Target Sports in Creswell, OR.

“Once again this event was a huge success and we had a wonderful turnout for our joint fundraising efforts,” said OLC Manager Rikki Wellman. “This group of people always comes together to help support the future of the logging industry and other worthy causes,” she added.

Heartfelt thanks are extended to OLC Board Member Jeanne Shuttleworth for her eight years of dedicated service to the board and this event, as those efforts have significantly contributed to the growth of the OLC Foundation’s industry scholarships. This was Shuttleworth’s last event, as she has decided to enjoy some downtime and spend more time surfing. “Thank you, Jeanne for your invaluable contributions, we greatly appreciate you,” Wellman said.

Winning teams at the fundraiser were:

1st place – Ocean Terminals (for the 7th consecutive year)

2nd place – Chapala’s Mexican Restaurant

3rd place – Roseburg Resources

4th place – Boise Cascade

Cinderella award – ShaneCo Timber

High Scoring Men’s award – Kevin Ankeny

High scoring Women’s award – Erin Pelayo
