Ponsse Bear 8W

Ponsse Bear 8W

The 2012 Oregon Logging Conference had something for everyone — especially in you’re into state-of-the-art forestry equipment.

Ponsse brought out its new Bear 8W. The large harvester weight approximately 82,000 pounds, with wheel tracks, and is powered by a 322 HP Mercedes diesel engine.

Its Bear’s new 8-wheel configuration provides secure footing for navigating steep terrain. Also, the new C6 crane has lifting and swing torque unmatched in the rubber tire harvesters and the H8 head is both quick and powerful and can single-cut stumps 29 inches in diameter.

If you didn’t get a chance to see Ponsse’s largest harvester yet, you can view information about it on their website. Just click HERE.

And if you missed the 2012 OLC, make sure to mark your calendars for the 2013 show — February 21-22. It’ll be the Conference’s 75th anniversary and plans are already in the works to make this an event one to remember![/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
