Ponsee's Bear 8w

Ponsee's Bear 8w

You’ll get a chance to see the largest rubber tire harvester in the world at this year’s Oregon Logging Conference, held February 23-25.

The Ponsse Bear 8w harvester —  the largest harvester in Ponsse’s line-up — will be at the Koller display area.

The Bear weighs in at approximately 82,000 pounds, with wheel tracks, and is powered by a 322 HP Mercedes diesel engine. Its 8-wheel configuration provides secure footing for navigating steep terrain. The new C6 crane has lifting and swing torque unmatched in the rubber tire harvesters and the H8 head is both quick and powerful and can single-cut stumps 29 inches in diameter.

The Bear is just one of many state-of-the-art machines on display at the 2012 OLC. Come by and check them out.
