Turbo Sawmill

Turbo Sawmill

The 2014 Oregon Logging Conference, held February 20-22, will feature state-of-the-art machinery, from two-story feller bunchers to hand-held chainsaws.

One item you’ll want to check out is Turbo Sawmill’s Weekend Warrior — a chainsaw driven swing blade sawmill.

It’s affordable, ultra light and easy to assemble. More importantly will cut  800-1,600 board feet a day — powered by your regular chainsaw!

“We believe if your pushing the saw manually through the cut, weight is so much more important than horse power,” says Director Jake Peterson. “The main swing blade cutting head weighs a mere 37kg (81 pounds). This makes moving the saw through the cut effortless.”

Weekend Warrior Specifications:
Standard cut 6″ x 6″
Double cut up to 12″ wide
Timber length 4.5m
Kerf 5mm
Standard diameter 1.5m (larger with chocks).
