Sometimes a first hand look is what it takes to make an impression. That is exactly what 800 students from Oregon elementary schools in and around the Eugene area enjoyed yesterday in a first hand experience with the logging industry at the Oregon Logging Conference. With a professional forester guide, the students walked through the Logging Conference while enjoying an interactive and fun lesson in forestry.

The students and teachers learned about trees, logging, and reforestation, as well as got a close up and personal look at state-of-the-art equipment used in today’s logging industry.

The tours are presented as a partnership between the Oregon Logging Conference, Oregon Women in Timber, and Forests Today & Forever.
